LCpl. William Hanlon
Bill Hanlon KIA 20th May 1951
Several years ago I was contacted by Michael McColgan who is the nephew of William Hanlon whom was Killed in Action at the same time as George Yapp.
This is a great contact because I hope to with the help of William's Sister and her son Michael to show some light on another brave soldier, So that he is no longer one of the forgotten heroes, from this forgotten Korean War.
Regrettably Michael's mother was too young to remember much about her brother William what she did know was that he was a good man a generous man and was very well liked by all she supplied the above picture, which I am grateful to publish for her.
William on his wedding day 1st June 1949 looks a proud man with his wife on this happy day
