My dads first scroll received circa 1954-55
This was received circa 1954-55 I remember well when the post man delivered this scroll in 1954-55 and for a long time it was all that I had of my Dad. My Gran had it framed at the local photographers studio called "Allsops" Mr Allsop missed the slip "by command of the Queen" out of the frame, she took it back and had them re-do it again. I don't think she ate for a week to pay for it. God Bless her!
This is the scroll that we received at his presentation of the the Queen Elizabeth II cross
It is signed bt Her Majesty
