Hannah and Mathew

Hannah Maria Price 1848-1930

These photos were taken in a small studio in  Wood Street Walthamstow in 1884.

Hannah went on to marry Thomas Abraham Clark in 1883 but it would appear that that marriage didn’t last too long as the 1891 Census shows Hannah now being Widowed and working as a Domestic Servant at this address: 241 Burdett Road, Limehouse, London England. The 1891 Census has her husband Thomas Abraham Clark living in Mile End Old Town with his two Daughters’.

Hannah died in Leytonstone in 1930.

Alice Turner 1884

Matthew and Alice had 10 children in all.

Our Dad William John Yapp being the youngest, he married Rose Smith in Walthamstow in 1920 and they had 3 children:

William Arthur 1921

George Albert 1927

Rosetta Doris 1928

Rose was born in about 1899/1900 according to the marriage certificate

Sadly Rose died in the Brentwood Warley Hospital in 1942

Although Rose is not actually a relation to me she was the mother to my 3 Half siblings so I am still working hard to find her family for them. So, if any readers are related to a Rose Smith that married William John Yapp, I am DESPERATE to have you contact me.
